Room for a fountain beside the villa

We install fountains in gardens and courtyards. Suitable indoor spaces can also be assessed. Choose the position and style with our team before agreeing the basin and finish. We plan access to the pump for cleaning and repairs.

A wall outlet sends water into a basin below. The drop affects the sound.

Indoor features

Indoors we check where splash will land and how the pump can be reached.

Leave a dry route past the fountain

Open the courtyard gate all the way before marking out a fountain basin. It’s a simple habit from 24+ years of garden work in Dubai. Someone carrying shopping should be able to get from the gate to the door without stepping into the splash.

In the courtyard photo three jets share a low rectangular basin beside the villa. A narrow setting like this leaves little room for splash near the walking route. We review the jet height and where the water will land together. It also helps to decide which side of the basin you can reach to clean it.

Basin and jets

The parts of a fountain installation

A jet in a narrow wall recess needs a different basin from one you can walk around. In either case the water must land back inside the rim and there has to be enough room to reach the pump.

  • Basin and setting

Review the shape and edge of the basin against the available courtyard or garden space.

  • Jet arrangement

Discuss the water pattern and its relationship to nearby paths and seating areas.

  • Equipment layout

Place the pump where it can be removed for servicing once the basin surround is finished.

  • Finishes and operation

Agree surface finishes and optional lighting before explaining the controls and care at handover.

Fountain details beside a pool

Where an arc of water will land

An arcing jet over a swimming pool is different from a jet in a little courtyard basin. A swimmer might be crossing the water underneath it. We work out where the stream lands in relation to the steps and how you want to operate the jet when people are using the pool.

For a freestanding fountain ask how you get to the pump without taking the surround apart. We agree the access point along with the basin finish. If you will use the fountain at night we also look at where a light will catch the jet. At handover we point out the controls and show which parts you can reach for cleaning.

Before the basin goes in

Consider the setting before choosing the size

A reference photograph can help communicate the fountain style you like. We also need to see the place where it will be installed. Nearby doors and planting can influence the position and the proportions of the basin.

Bringing water and power to a new basin across an existing terrace is a different job from fitting a replacement in the same spot. If there is already a fountain we inspect the basin and pump first. Your estimate can then distinguish a surface update from new connections or equipment.

Fountain care

Choosing
a fountain

Choosing a basin for a tight entrance? A photo with the door open will help.

Can a fountain be designed for a smaller courtyard?

Often yes. If floor space is tight a wall fountain may fit. The water still needs to land inside the basin and the pump must be within reach.

Do you maintain existing fountains?

Once we’ve seen the fountain we can agree a cleaning routine and the equipment checks it needs. We price any repair with you first.

Can you update the appearance of an existing fountain?

First we examine the basin and the equipment already in it. If both are sound a change of finish might be enough. The way the fountain was built can limit which parts we can reach or replace.

Is a fountain suitable beside an entrance?

It can be considered where the layout leaves enough room for access and care. We review the proposed position and nearby surfaces before recommending the size and water arrangement.

Where could a fountain fit?

An entrance photo with the gate open helps us judge how wide the basin could be.
